About Wildwood & Sage:
Wildwood & Sage grew from and idea, and idea that always got pushed back. As with all things that are meant to be, it wouldn’t stay silent. Until one day Kara could no longer ignore the idea. She had blogged for years in the military spouse niche. Kara had tried to fit in, yet never quite did. Her heart never fit the typical military spouse mold. She always felt more comfortable in the isles of Whole Foods, instead of the commissary. Yet, she pushed this away and tried to incorporate both military life and green living. Ultimately it didn’t work. She grew frustrated with the whole thing and gave up blogging for a time.
The idea came back: a green living blog, one that incorporated seasonal living, whole foods – real food – cooking, and sustainable living.
After much brainstorming and soul searching, Wildwood & Sage was born. A place slightly outside the norm, a place that honors nature, and that realizes that not everything is meant to be tamed. Where care for the planet we live and rely upon is paramount, and every day presents a new opportunity to make the world a better place. Where feeding your family means using wholesome, local & organic ingredients as much as possible, and life is something that should be authentic to each person not a mold.
