How to Use the Full Moon To Manifest Change In Your Life

February 24, 2017 by Wildwood & Sage Leave a Comment

Silvery light blankets the land, illuminating the darkness and revealing a shadow landscape. Darkness is replaced with light and the circle begins again. There is something inherently magical about the Full moon. Maybe it’s the silvery moonlight, the gravitational pull on the earth, or an ingrained sense of wonder that’s inherent in all humans since time immemorial. Living a seasonal life isn’t doesn’t just revolve around the turning of the sun, but the moon as well. The phases of the moon have long been seen as forces that mark and cause change in the world and in people. The Full moon is no exception, and it is perhaps one of phases of the moon most associated with supernatural powers. Yet, there’s nothing supernatural about it. It’s entirely natural! Those natural energies can be used to help you manifest your desires in your life, right now (or the next Full moon!).

Use the power of the Full moon to manifest changes in your life. This simple ritual requires 2 every objects you already have. What are you waiting for? It's time to manifest the life you want, now! via @wildwoodandsage

The Full Moon

The Full moon marks the culmination of the moon’s cycle. The moon has traveled across the sky, slowly hiding her face, then once more slowly revealing it. All phases of the moon can be used to bring about change in your life, but the Full moon is particularly good for any thing that involves the culmination of abilities or talents. However, as it is the culmination of all other phases of the moon it can be used for any purpose you desire, from attracting certain influences to being rid of that which no longer serves you.

A Simple Full Moon Ritual

Required Tools:

  • Pen & Paper

Recommended Tools:

  • An offering of milk, honey, flowers, incense or anything else you feel is appropriate.
  • Crystals such as quartz, or moonstone
  • Sacred items – Anything that sets the mood or helps you connect with lunar energies.
  • Candles (White or Silver)
  • Essential Oils (like Sandalwood)

The Ritual:

This ritual is best preformed where you can see the moon, however you can preform it anywhere. It’s the intent that matters the most.

Stand or take a seat, which ever is most comfortable for you. Gaze softly at the moon and clear you mind. Take several deep breaths, releasing your tension, and negative thoughts. Meditate for several moments if you’d like.

See the full moon (with your eyes or visualize it if you cannot physically see it), think of the long journey it has taken to get to this point. The changes, waxing and waning. To reach your own goals, you too must undergo changes. Your energy will wax and wane just as the moon does, yet ultimately that is merely part of the journey. They journey you need to take to get to your ultimate destination. Think of your goal.

What is it you want to achieve most in your life right now? Write it down on your piece of paper. Visualize your goal. Visualize what it will be like when you reach it, make it as real as you can. Visualize it for as long as you can. Carefully fold your paper. Let it sit in the moon light if possible, or set it near a moon representation over night. Then put it some place safe. Alternately you can burn it in a fire safe container and set your intention free to the Universe.

Once you are done, leave an offering if you have one and thank the moon for her help.

Throughout the ensuing month, check on your paper with your goal written on it. Visualize your goal once more. Visualize yourself taking the steps to achieve it, visualize that success. Support this energy by taking physical actions to help you accomplish your goal.

Follow Up

Energy alone is not enough to help you reach your goals or manifest changes in your life. Your energetic actions are supplements to the physical work it takes to make things happen. Energy may be able to help open the door to that which you desire, but only you can walk through it. Support your workings with actions in your daily life that will help you bring your goal to reality. When the next Full moon rolls around, revisit your goal. You may find you need to revisit your goal, and add more energy to support it. Or perhaps you’ve learned that you would be better served by pursuing another path.

Do you use the moon to help manifest change in your life? What is your full moon ritual like?
